There are those who oppose any statement that attributes a possible global warming to human activity. Some call them "skeptics" but there is healthy skepticism in science, up to a point. Instead of associating skepticism with negativity, I would call those who seem not to listen to any attempts at reasoned debate "deniers", and would focus on responding to them, since they are on denying that there is any serious, human-induced global warming or climate change going on, and may impede society's ability to respond effectively to this and other environmental threats.
For this discussion thread, I suggest reading the content of either or both of these links:

There may not be much debate, or there may be, but I do think these are valuable examples of a more careful look at the issues than most forum exchanges can hope to provide. Perhaps we can deepen the discussion of various areas of environment, after reading the content in the above links.
How do YOU see the position of the "Deniers", and what should be done to respond to them (or ignore them) when they disrupt meetings on climate change?
