Just one word......Beautiful. Here's a favorite of mine. This is a very old school house in south Alabama where my father attended school. The window has been boarded up with whatever they could find. It says "every saturday night ya'll come". Kudsu is quickly taken over the old building. I like quirky photos like this.

Scott, you are up WAY to early each morning to catch these sunrise pics! LOL
It IS beautiful though. The red in the bottom pic is great.
Dixie...we had an abundance of kudzu in GA when we lived there...one area by Lake Lanier had acres and acres of it, and they had to clear it (who knows why). The "story" was that when they cleared the property, up by the abandoned old house, was a dead man found in the car. I never found out if it was true or not...LOL. Can you believe that they thought that it could be used for feed for cattle to graze on??
I love the door pic...I like quirky ones too...

South Alabama has some great buildings. Nice you caught the vines..I do remember seeing them as a kid down in Fairhope.
My parents live in Birmingham Ala
Marina, I love the blue window in the photo you posted. Growing up with Kudzu I believe the story about the man in his car. I have heard that it grows so fast you better not leave your windows open at night. Maybe that's what happened to the guy in the car. Fell asleep with his windows down!LOL It is impossible to control. The root system on a Kudzu vine is temendoous. I heard it was originally brought ot the U.S. as a food source. There are idiots born every day!!!
Halfbreed, I understand that Fairhope is a very developed area now, isn't it. Not many old buildings there any more. It will only get worse now that that huge steel plant is being built north of Mobile. Still some great old buildings in the black belt area (southwest Alabama).
Scott, I live about a half hour south of Birmingham and commute to work ther everyday. Love your pics, plesase post more.
Love the orange sky! Looks surreal ... would make a great impressionist painting!
