AnnieP the fact that you started the group in Sept.--is that right?-and according to the page, have not received a single comment indicates to me that the West coast is not ready yet for Obama. Indeed, until I learn more about the man--I mean in the personal sense--what is their to discuss?

I've watched all the so-called debates and learned only that he has Hillary in his telescopic sites and that he was against the war in Iraq from the beginning--failing to mention in a follow up that he was not even IN the U.S. Senate (where the WAR actually was allowed to start) when the war started but back in Illinois. The media and I mean ALL the media seems to be scared shitless of the guy in the sense they do not "go after him" the way they report on the other candidates. I smell something rotten way back there somewhere that they are afraid to touch. Now that he has Oprah pulling in the crowds for him maybe we will begin to learn more--if only through the Tabloids. She sells alot of National Enquirers.

SOMEBODY TELL US SOMETHIN--FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!

As you said, nobody knows what Obama is about. I am from IL and I don't remember hearing his name mentioned. And his name is one you would remember. As I said in other posts something big is happening in Washington DC..It scares me sometime and then other times it sounds exciting to think maybe things are changing for the better. I don't feel real comfortable with Oprah in the middle of his running. I mean she is REALLY in the middle. And she is a powerful person. As far as Obama's past experence in politics I can only find about eight years and he was a junior senator for part of that.

Anyway, I really do have a uneasy feeling about this election. But that could be because of the changes in gender and race that are involved. I guess we all needed something to shake our, "Ho Hum" attitude about politics.

I hope this helps. I have been waiting for someone to get this discussion started.

Hey--you be nice to Montana. My son moved to Missoula 16 years ago and won't ever leave. I have been there and I would move also but have too many of those darned ole roots here.

How did you end up in Butte. About all I remember about Butte is a big statue and a WalMart.LOL

Hi dotcom: good to meecha. Have been here 12 years and it is home . Small (compared to Houston) and nice people. Gets a little cold around now time but drother see that than the 100's in Houston come June. Am in Obama because I'd like to kno about him before I start thinking about him for prez. And--the networks seem to be afraid to touch him--that is the way they clobber Hillary. I know they are scared of being called racist, but good heavens the guy wants to be prez of U.S. I say, open up and let the chips fall where they may. See ya in the room.

Hi dotcom: well we got to see a little "southern exposure" last night in the Hillary, Obama, Edwards debate. But it still is not revealing enough. I mean, so a little-a lot of fur flies--so what? And they rip each other new A holes. These people want to be prez. of the U.S.of A. Do they really think it's gonna be easy? Well, Hill. already knows that politics is like getting into a pissing match with a herd of skunks.
