I'm always looking for interesting facts to tell people about Fort Wayne, as well as the surrounding area. Here are a few of my favorites.

1) Before the Coliseum was built, the Fort Wayne Zolner Pistons played at Northside Highschool.

2) The first professional nighttime baseball game was played in Fort Wayne, lighting courtesy of GE.

3) Fort Wayne had its own professional women's baseball team during WWII. They were called the Daisies.

4) Just 45 miles away, Warsaw Indiana is the Orthopaedic capital of the world.

5) Just 25 miles away, Auburn Indiana is where two of the most valuable makes of antique cars were built. The Auburn and the Chord.
