Why the hell not? And what's the partner to "disagree" with?

If done in the confines of marriage, does who you are flirting with define the risk problem. Your partner may find one person a threat and another person not. Maybe even consider your mild flirt a friendly, social interaction.

I honestly think people flirt not to boost thier ego, but after you've been in a marriage for more than 20 years, sometimes your spouse seems to never really flirt with you. It helps you stay feeling like you haven't slid completely over the hill. That we are still attractive to others, or that we have something interesting to say that another person might be willing to listen to. We can maybe make someone else laugh, or blush, or better yet have someone make us blush!

My husband has a bit of a problem with this site, he joined after he saw me on here so often, and he has had many questions and concerns, to the point that he was not going to accept any friend invitations because he didn't want to "cross any lines", and asking about the friends I have, because some are men.

So I have to wonder about your final question, about risking problems at home. I have enjoyed this site, because it's for people my age, not like those myspace and facebook sites that are full of kids and stupid games, or quizes and nothing that has any realness about them.

I'm around kids all day, or around younger, single people that are having lots of fun and enjoying life. I love my life, but I could use any outlet once in awhile. I was hoping this could be it.

I guess I'll have to wait and see now.

Depends on who the "one" is. I flirt for the pleasure of it. It makes me feel more womanly and alive and I enjoy the compliment I pay to the one I flirt with. I wouldn't be coupled with someone who didn't enjoy it as well.

It's up to you and your husband to work out what is acceptable flirting and when either of you cross a comfort line of the other.

I find the flirting has helped the intimacy between my husband and I. He is "too busy" to flirt with me, so I get the "thrill" of flirting and it stays with me and carries over into our relationship. And while he doesn't know I'm flirting here, he isn't complaining about the "after effects"!

What do you mean by flirting? My definition of flirting is "talking sweet nonsense", so no, I don't think there is anything wrong with flirting at our (or any) age.

There is nothing sexual in my flirtations. I flirt because I like to smile and make others smile.

I feel the basic reason for flirting is to compliment someone. It makes us all feel good. There does have to be boundaries for couples and also not to offend someone with remarks that may go beyond what they should. I think we should make sure to always have respect especially if the person has a partner. We should be careful not to lead someone on and give them the wrong idea. I feel that flirting is very healthy and a good way to compliment someone.
