I don't have a fancy dog either, just a great one! Mines a greyhound husky mix which is an awesome combo. I adopted her from a rescue society in Western Michigan.

Yay for rescue dogs! I think everyone should rescue a dog if at all possible when you want a dog!

I was in the shelter about to adopt a mixed hound male for my son however my landlord said no to me so I couldnt adopt him I was so angry and sad for my son. His dog previously died of kidney failure and I wanted another dog for him to love. It was beautiful green eyes and white coat with some brown spots just lovely. Yes it is nice to rescue a dog from an animal shelter. I tried and my landlady had to give her permisson. She wouldnt allow it the old meany!!! Not even when I wrote her a letter telling her about my sons puppy dying! I hate renting a home geeeez for 600.00 a month you would think she would have some compassion and do this for my son. you have a beautiful dog! Their are so many dogs euthanized it breaks my heart!
