I dearly love and respect birds. I presently live in an urban environment, NYC and have several different kinds of birds that come and sit on my fire escape from time to time. I love to sit and just watch them. Whenever I am out in Central Park or a smaller park closer to my apartment, I really love to watch them and try and name them. I was born and spent the first 21 years of my life in NC where there were quite a few birds that I saw daily. Blue Jay, Robin Red Breast, Oriole and the state bird the Cardinal. Beautiful colors.

I would like to learn more about birding and find a group in NYC that is into birding. If anyone knows of one, suggestions are welcome.
