absolutely, I use rescue remedy for my dog when we go into a crowded situation, or when going to the vet. A friend of mine cares for her dog with her own daily herbal concoction to keep her dog well and did wonders.
I have heard though mixed feelings on this as some say garlic is good some say not...love to hear what others know.
Peace,
Eve

oh, i am so glad someone replied! i thought i was all alone here. thank you, eve.
i have read that garlic can cause anemia in dogs. however, i used to give my dogs a brewer's yeast/garlic powder (sprinkled on their food) to fight fleas. it worked very well.
now i am feeding them a flea 'treat' that is a vitamin-B complex flavored with liver. also to keep the fleas away. i started it a week ago and it is supposed to take 10 days to get into their system enough to start to work.

Hi RoseFinch, you are not alone here and I am sure with time more shall join. Meanwhile I love to share good things, and when I can I will reply.
I will try that too for my dog, I have used teatree oil and that seems to work. Anything for a runny eye? or anal sac blockage? My vet is not helping...
Check back later. Thanks.

for the eye, you could try warm compresses with green tea. either brew the tea and soak it into a soft cloth or apply the warm teabags right to the dog's eye.
calendula is good for eyes too. the dried flower petals can be made into a tea and used as an eye wash. i had a littler of kittens that all had conjunctivitis and i used the green tea eye wash on them--that was a great tea actually, a combination of green tea, calendula, chamomile, and rose petals.
i have not had experience with anal blockage, tho. sorry.

Great idea, I get to drink the tea then put the bag on his eye...
Not sure he will let me, but I like the idea of the eye wash with the mix. I have a product but he doesn't like the smell, to mediciny.
I wish I could offer more but my mind is on another discussion. I will give more attention to this one soon. Much thanks for your help. Peace.

I've just found a website that may be of interest to some of you. It's called:
From what I've read, Dr. Moffat was a vet at one time, but has now included people to her practice. I'm all over Natural Remedies and check out every thing I can find on line.It has been especially difficult to find these remedies for animals.Don't know if this will help anyone or not.

CAUTION ..why do you think your cat or dog pukes, when they eat something green ?
Because it's not good for them and made them sick..
IMHO .. want to make your pet seriously ill or god forbid, kill them ..?
Don't feed them herbs and stuff .. you have no idea what will happen to them ..
This entire subject of alternative medicine for humans is subject to extreme debate .. let alone to an animal that can't speak english !
