One cannot discuss Zen. It comes from spontaneity and experience in the moment. There are, however, guides and "sign posts" along the way. Experience are hard. It is like going though something. It is like walking on a beach and person walk by that you think you know but you don't them now.
It is like having a dream that shows you your past or what is coming
Interesting insight, teacup. My own thought is that experience is neither hard nor easy: it is life itself.
It could be like making someone happy. Then you have effect that you get what you want out life.
It is like having bad karma. In order to change this you help someone out. Then something great happens to you. Some of your bad karma gose away. Your experience is what you make of it. Like life itself and where you want to go in your life.
How can anyone make another happy? (This is rhetorical. No answer needed.)
