My next vacation will be in Cabo San Lucas! I have waited almost 8 years to finally go to this tropical paradise. It was barely known when I started wishing and dreaming. Now it is probably over crowded . . . but I am going this summer! I will be sitting under an umbrella on the beach sipping Margarita's or Waborita's feeling I have finally arrived in paradise.
We will doing lots of camping trips around NH..Tenting camping!!
The Black Hills of South Dakota!
I've only camped twice in my life. Both times were really good. The first was with an Ecology Club in high school. It rained and someone poked my head so that I would get further into my sleeping bag. It was a good sleeping bag because I never got wet and I was not in a tent. In the morning I layed stairing up the huge redwoods watching the crystal drops of water shining from the morning sun. For a newbie that was Mother Nature at her best. 2nd time was great. I went Llama backpacking up Mt Eddy, which is in No California, across Hwy 5 from Mt Shasta. It was with a Llama company. We all had a llama that we walked on a leash. The llamas had custom made packs on them and they carried 125 # each. They are great animals. The top of Mt Eddy is 7K feet, we camped in a beautiful meadow at 5K feet. The company catered 3 meals a day. The meals were vegetarian and 2 cases of wine. It was summer soltice weekend and it was great. We had a great group and the three guides were enviromentalist and wonderful. One guest brought a guitar and we would sing '60s songs around a campfire. It was great.
Bleak year for vacations--work keeps calling. Next trip is 4th of July on the Oregon coast.

Oh, this sounds so cool. Will you post about your trip and share some photos? I'm so curious about that area of the country, and I've never been. Have a great time, and thanks!
Anita, these two camping experiences sound wonderful, and the second one especially. What exquisite memories!
