Make your nephew feel better,most likely it won't be there for us anyway.I just found out I'm not getting medicare.Don't have enough credits from past ten years.I've been ill,but don't qualify for disability.

We've paid into it...I've built a couple of successful business' with my husband,worked outsided the home,raised 3 taxpayers.

Obviously there are more of us than them,so there's not as many paying into or going to be paying.

We're all in alot of trouble,but too busy pointing fingers,or trying to survive,or fearful to do anything about it.

I'd tell your nephew if he cares,to start putting his energy to better use than blaming you.

You're right about so-called "entitlements." SoSec and Medicare should be called "exceptlements". We need to stop the left-right tug-of-war over these increasingly necessary and justifiable benefits, and put our government's -- and our -- energy behind the problems that are killing the US's competitiveness.
