The older I get the more i've learned to appreciate the genius of Sci-Fi.

And stop and think some of that sci fi stuff is starting to be not so out there now as technology advances.

Absolutely! Science should have paid more attention to science fiction long ago... maybe they were.
I first learned the theory of Quantum physics and multiple dimensions, from an "Outer Limits" episode, televised back in the 50's.
James Kirk was using a cell phone before it was invented. Gene Roddenberry's mind was truly amazing.
"The Matrix" exactly defined our human condition, few might agree, but the same world has been seen by ancient Mystics through the ages, those who peeked through the veil, long before the wheel was waiting to be invented.
I totally agree with you and btw I love the picture in the first post...too cute and funny!

Aleister Crowley was stranger than fiction.
I've long felt that I was living in the future ,cell phones. computers, GPS ... I remember the first time I saw a video game or mom bringing home our first microwave . SciFi authors have shown us so many cool ideas that have become reality : Communication satellites, trips to the moon ,sliding doors and , I mean wow . I'm reminded of a passage in Hellstroms Hive by Herbert in which a character uses a laptop . In between his writing and my reading laptops had been invented . It was interesting reading his clear and slightly burdened description of an action that can now be explained in a word .
Have any of you read - "Nothing in This Book Is True, But It's Exactly How Things Are". by Bob Frissell?
... or any of Zecharia Sitchin's books?
