Greetings Jerry, I too just finished the "Dark Matter" books by Pullman ... after watching the Golden Compass flick. (How I missed Pullman and his books is quite beyond me). At any rate, my investigation has lead to a wall of "who knows". It does not look as though there is any activity that is for public knowledge, but let us keep one another in the loop, shall we :)? I saw the movie before I read the book... which could have been a disaster. As it turns out, I sincerely think that considering the budget, and the director, a good and decent job was done by all. Since you have had the pleasure of reading GC - I can safely say that it will bring the characters well to life for you, whilst leaving you yearning for more depth. I have to add that I had the great grand pleasure of listening to a stellar audio recording of The Amber Spyglass. It is back to the library, however if you "Wiki" Pullman, somewhere it notes this recording - Pullman reads, and the cast is fabulous!!! VERY. So, back to movie, rent it. Trust me. It's just fine. Just a bit thin is all. Nicole is tres cool ;:) and her daemon NAILS bad monkey!!!
