Unfortunately I seriously doubt there will be another Firefly movie. Serenity's theatrical release was pretty bad:

The rule of thumb is that a movie needs to gross about twice what it cost to be profitable. Serenity only grossed about what it cost to make, $39 million. So in raw box office it wasn't profitable at all.

I get the sense that they've done fairly well in the DVD market, it seems to sell pretty well around here at least. But even so it wasn't quite a blockbuster.

Haven't heard anything about a TV special, and it just seems the longer it goes the less likely a reunion becomes. Of course I thought Babylon 5 was dead and gone yet they recently released a new "Lost Tales" DVD. It was pretty bad though, but still the fact they got it made does hold out hope for similar efforts from the Firefly gang.

here i am, middleaged. and i really did enjoy this program! all of the episodes were well written, well acted and it reminded me of a futuristic cowboy program. i do miss it.

i was hoping that the scifi channel would pick it up but i guess they thought wrestling was better for the cash flow.

now that stargate is in reruns forever there is only one show that appeals to me on that network now. their spinoff atlantis.

i really do wish they would pick up the crew, and i have written them with that suggestion.

You know, I appreciated Firefly for its grit and realism. Space cowboys flying around in a rusty old jalopy of a space ship. Trying to make a nickel and eat, while making some attempt to excercise their tired and beat up morals. No glitz, no glamor, no light sabers. Ah... My daughter hates it, so I like it all the more! How I wish the Sci-Fi channel would revive it.

Firefly was great. I just stumbled on to it channel surfing. I just bought the "complete series" from Amazon. Four discs including 3 never aired episodes. I haven't opened it yet because I've spent too much time in the movies. LOL

Need a bit of a tune up so I'll hang on to it till then.

Big fan of Resident Evil. Last version was great. Love the ladies like "Alice and Jill Valentine." Never had them work with me when I was a Sheriff's Officer. LOL

Can I just say... WATCH IT NOW! ;)
