Le Meridian's private beach in Monte Carlo is the first that comes to mind, but I recently rediscovered the joys of Ft Lauderdale's beach....the mojitos and cuba libres probably enhanced the experience, but enjoyable nonetheless. I have quite a list of favorites, but will stop at two.

South Padre Island!

Sanibel Island when I'm craving quiet. 7 Mile beach on Grand Cayman when I feel like people, music and just letting loose. Housewives need to drink rum and dance in the sand too, ya know!

Many years ago it was Stewart Beach on Galveston Island. Oh did ol' Glen Campbell bring back memories when he recorded that song. "I clean my gun and dream of Galveston."(Never did quite get that lyric) And, believe it or not--one of the prettiest beaches I was ever on was in Mogadiscio, Somalia. Waaaayyy back before the fundamentalist creeps, common to that area of the world. took it over and made it ---well, made it a junk yard of war metal.

When I Google Earth it I want to cry.

It's heartbreaking to hear about how many of those places that had been blessed with such natural beauty have now, thanks to the growing evil in our world, almost literally "Gone to Hell."

Best beach? White Bay, Jost Van Dyke, BVI. I was there in May 2008 BEAUTIFUL. Charter a catamarran and just cruise for a week - you will see more beautiful, secluded, or unsecluded beaches than you have ever seen on just one trip.
