The known-to-be-left leaning LA Times has released a report on illegal immigration in this country. While there are threads debating the various pros and cons of "Obama vs Clinton", etc; I think it's fair to argue that these two have a fairly liberal view toward this issue.
And there's always the old chestnut about illegals simply doing work Americans won't do or how they cause far few crimes/problems than they are blamed for and how they don't 'really' stress the health care and other social service systems of our country. For those that share those views, please - at least read this, from a source that generally sides with you and espouses your viewpoint. You don't have to agree or like it and are free to dismiss it as you wish, but you owe it to all of us to at least consider the impact of it:

1. 42% of all workers in L. A.County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is be cause they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.
2. 96% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
3. 78% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.
4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.
5. Nearly 40% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
6. Over 350,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.
7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.
8. Nearly 70% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.
9. 21 radio stations in L. A. Are Spanish speaking.
10. In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 4.3 million speak Spanish.
