Given the current state of the campaign, it is not totally unreasonable to ask this question, I think. I am simply curious to see the opinion from both sides as to the viability of the scenario.
To begin, there has been apparent dissatisfaction with the Biden selection among core Hillary Clinton supporters, over 18 million voters that may have felt cheated somehow. Then McCain goes for the wild card and picks Gov. Palin, which, despite anyone's personal opinion, did energize the conservative base. While polls are just snapshots and often incorrect, the recent ones that are most trusted seem to show a shift in momentum away from Obama and toward McCain, which some credit/blame on the VP picks.
With that background, some suggest the Obama camp may be nervous and/or re-thinking its selection of Biden. Biden certainly brings little, if anything, new to the Obama message of change in Washington. Biden just recently admitted that Hillary would likely be an equal or even better pick for VP than himself. A curious thing for a VP nominee to say so openly. There is more, but let's have a discussion, if anyone is interested.
While unprecedented, it isn't implausible IMO and would definitely bolster Obama's chances if done properly. Hillary simply brings more to the table than does Biden, in general. Doing it "properly" is likely the biggest hurdle, but I can think of some ways to accomplish that without looking foolish or worse.
So, what do you all think? Or do you not really care?
