Biv: I hate to be the messenger of gloom but those of us who've asked the last--how many is it now?--dozen or so presidents, to enforce our Immigration Laws can fold our tents and go home because no matter who is elected from either party--or as a write in, is going to do a damned thing about this problema. The Mexican government(read the descendants of the Spanish Conquistadors) decided a long time ago that what they could not take by arms they would take by stealth and infiltration. They have been behind the invasion from the south that has been going on since Eisenhower was prez. He was the LAST prez. of U.S.to attempt to control that border and no one since then has even made a half assed effort.

What was once a simple problem of legality has become so interlaced with economics and "civil rights" and accusations of racism that any effort to hold a rational conversation about the matter is doomed to failure. And just possibly this country as well. We shall see, but forget about sealing the border, No one, on either side--in power-is going to do that. Too many bucks at stake. Get the picture??

Come on WM...Mexico is assimilating the USA to take back what was illegally sold by the Spanish Royals, many years ago ..!

Or .. more likely, the on-going process to evolve the 51st State ..!

While that appears to be true (especially when I see so many ITIN's instead of SSN's doing taxes), I just can't understand the US Govt thinking on this matter. What's in it for them?

I am in a position to see more than most as I speak Spanish and do taxes for non English speaking Mexicans, Cubans and South Americans.

There HAS to be a political reason for this.
