Why start a group about blogging? I love to blog, I love to read blogs, and I'm always interested in learning more about blogging. TBD probably has a lot of bloggers, but more than one person has commented that discussions get lost, and unless somebody accidentally stumbles over an old one, you might never know that a topic of interest to you was ever started. I think TBD will eventually upgrade the Discussion area, but for multiple discussions on one topic, groups are the way to go.

So, here we are.

My first suggestion: if you haven't put a link to your blog in your profile, now's a good time to do it.

I've been blogging since ... Er, Well since there were fewer than 1,200 blogs on the internet. Before anyone was even sure what a blog was. If you are the least bit clever you've already seen the blatent link to my blog in my profile, however ...

Nice looking blog. Still in development?

I've been looking around for ways to monetize without going too commercial. Wordpress.com blogs can't be monetized unless you want to shell out enormous bucks, and I'm not ambitious enough to go the self-hosting route. But I'm working on a web site to be hosted at squarespace.com, which will be an extension of the gifted blog. The writing blog? No plans yet, though Amazon is in the back of my mind. The senior blog, to be perfectly honest, has a hidden agenda. I discovered a blog network that actually pays its bloggers, and has nothing for seniors. Once the blog is fully developed and has plenty of good content, I'll apply for acceptance on the network.
