-Do people really make money with blogs, and if so, how?
Yes, people do make money with blogs, but only the most popular ones with a lot of traffic bring in much income. For high-traffic sites, Google Adsense is one source of income. You can also blog on networks that pay for product reviews. You can sell your own products. There are hundreds of way to make money from blogging, but they all depend on your having enough traffic. Unless you're blogging on a hot topic and do a lot of self-promotion, it usually takes months to years to reach that level. Not all blog hosts allow you to commercialize your blog. Wordpress.com has great features, but it's not for making money.
