I am hoping i can make it. I quit back in 1991 and again in 2002 when I was pregnant with my children..that was so EASY. I decided to just quit because I know that it would make my husband and boys happy to know I wasnt doing it anymore. I am a fairly light smoker about 1-2 packs per week. Would go a day or two here and there without smoking or could smoke 1/2 a pack in a day somedays. Just depended on what was going on. I am on day 12 now of smoke free.
I suppose I should start walking a few times a day to keep my mind off of smoking and to keep weight from pouring on (i had my thyroid removed 15mnths ago ) and have but on 15lbs from that...so I am having a hard time with that as well. I am already upset about that, so I hope that quitting doesnt cause me to gain more or I think i will be devastated! I live in the north east to boot..so its really cold and hard to get motivated to go outdoors and walk!
