Good site, Patricia. There is some good info, there. The Celtic peoples are vast and have a very complex history, going back long before either the Greek or Roman historians. Herodotus, the "Father of History", called them 'Keltoi',...He knew them from their settlements in Eastern Turkey, known later as 'Galatia'. They spread all over Europe and were in conflict with the Roman Empire at many different times. There are many different branches of Celtic peoples. They have much in common even today. The languages are very related as well as the culture, music, and ancient religion. They arrived in Britain and Ireland about a thousand years B.C. There is a possibility that the Picts were in Scotland even long before.
