Famous buses from history and pop culture
Here we present a showcase of the most iconic buses in all of history and popular culture. From the Merry Pranksters' colorful, LSD-stocked bus of the '60s to the Magic School Bus of Ms. Frizzle, the following slides remind us that the bus can be so much more than anyone ever imagined.
Novelist Ken Kesey and his LSD-enthused, California-based band of Merry Pranksters took the early 1960s by storm. Their antics reached a high point when they painted a bus, named it Further, and together traveled across the country to New York, a journey recently chronicled in the documentary "Magic Trip."
