Slutwalk D.C.: 'No' still means 'no'

D.C. got its own version of the Slutwalk, a movement of marches taking place across the world, on Saturday. The demonstrations are meant to raise awareness of, and end victim-blaming in, sexual assaults. They began in response to a Toronto police officer's remark that women shouldn't dress "like sluts" if they want to avoid being raped.

Amy Tannenbaum, a Hyattsville, Md. resident and D.C. Rape Crisis Center volunteer, said her lipstick lettering was inspired by Kathleen Hanna of punk bands Bikini Kill and Le Tigre.
