When you're surrounded by Masonic marble fantasies and museums shaped like castles and doughnuts, it's sometimes hard to notice the region's everyday oddball buildings. A survey of some of those.

Arlington Temple United Methodist Church

This church opened in 1971; it leases the space downstairs to a Chevron station. The income from the lease goes to the church's mission.
