DCCX: Cyclocross racing in the District
Cyclocross is cycling's mud-splattered, beer-chugging cousin, and its races are usually held in remote locations where no one will be bothered by the participants' screams of pain. On Sunday, the DCCX race took place at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Northwest, and Politico's Jay Westcott was there.
Riders head up a hill as the sun rises.
