Behind the counter at the Black Cat
The Black Cat's Food for Thought cafe feeds bands and fans alike every day. The menu's filled with meat, vegetarian, and vegan items, including fresh baked goods by the café's owner. Barback Christopher Keller, 27, has been working at the Black Cat for six years. Next to him washing dishes is Lindsay Smyers, 22, who also cooks and serves customers at Food For Thought. (You get the sense that everyone does everything here. DIY.) The cafe is also a grand central station of sorts, since everyone who works at the club seems to pass through it at some point in their shift.
