10 best D.C. bars to drink in alone: Where to stool up solo
Some people drink by themselves out of necessity, others because they prefer not to let things like "conversation" get in the way of getting drunk. But this need not be a lonely activity. Here are few great bars in which to stool up solo.
The Galaxy Hut
Avoid on Sunday nights, when there's karaoke. Every other day of the week, slump down at the bar, in a booth, or one of the tables made of old video games (bring quarters; they still work). It has all the makings of a perfectly mopey evening: dim lighting, tater tots, and a well-curated '90s indie rock playlist on the stereo.
