D.C. Furies rugby: Girls who scrum the world

D.C. Furies is one of the oldest women's rugby clubs in the nation.

A line-out, similar to a soccer throw-in, during a team scrimmage on March 21. Founded in 1978 as the Washington Women's Rugby Football Club, the Furies became part of the Women's Premier League three years ago. The WPL contains the top eight teams in the country, and Fitz said they've "had a rough time of it," not winning any regular season games, but they have won at nationals.
