A few years ago, Lord befriended Kalani Tifford, who plays in Sunwolf and co-founded the defunct record label Gypsy Eyes. Tifford was booking shows at Comet with the help of artist Nick Pimentel, whom Lord knew from her space at Gold Leaf Studios. In February 2009, Lord asked Tifford if he wanted help. She began immediately and within a month started booking acts.
