Trayvon Martin rallies in D.C.: Anger over Martin killing grows over three days of protests
Crowds calling for justice in the death of Trayvon Martin, the Florida teenager shot and killed by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman, gathered in Anacostia on Friday, by Freedom Plaza on Saturday, and at the U.S. Dept. of Justice on Monday.
At a Friday evening Trayvon Martin rally in Anacostia organized by the D.C. chapter of the National Black United Front, roughly 150 people gathered for speeches, prayers, and a candlelight vigil beneath the Big Chair on Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue.
