Maine Avenue Fish Market: Fresh fish for sale under a D.C. bridge
Each day, fishmongers at the Maine Avenue Fish Market sell their wares, both fresh and cooked, for prices lower than those at D.C. grocery stores.
Terrel Edwards, 35, who once caught a 36-pound catfish on this dock near the Maine Avenue Fish Market, said he's been fishing here since his mother taught him how as a little kid. Other species you might pull out of this Potomac River tributary include perch, bluegill, crappie, and bass.
