Maine Avenue Fish Market: Fresh fish for sale under a D.C. bridge
Each day, fishmongers at the Maine Avenue Fish Market sell their wares, both fresh and cooked, for prices lower than those at D.C. grocery stores.
Diggs unloads bags of Virginia clams into Jessie Taylor Seafood. Market employees here typically work long hours in rotating stretches of time. Diggs works seven days in a row and then has a week off at his home in the Eastern Shore.
