The Water St. Project: Art under a freeway, with sponsors!

The Water St. Project, a temporary creative space under Whitehurst Freeway near Georgetown, officially opens to the public on April 20. To view the full 11-day schedule, visit thewaterstproject.com.

Drew Storm Graham shines a light on his octopus-themed "Ambush," one of several three-dimensional pieces on display that he makes by airbrushing automotive paints, which he uses for their iridescent and metallic qualities, onto several layers of birch plywood. (Graham had similar work displayed at last year's Art Whino G40 event.)
