Artomatic: D.C. gets artsy

D.C. is getting artsy! Artomatic 2012, the month-long art festival in the DC area is here. It’s mission is to showcase art that is "by artists, for everyone" and is free to the public.

"Innate visual artist" Dike Brown (left) attended opening night with his brother Steve. Dike, standing in front of his acrylic and mixed media portrait of President Obama, has an entire room on the seventh floor filled with his paintings and t-shirts. A full-time artist since 2010, he also made a fashion statement by attaching shards of glass on his shirt, shoes, and hat.
