PHOTOS: Waters of the National Harbor become classroom for students
Three hundred children from Maryland, Virginia and D.C. participated in the Nation's River Bass Tournament, which is sponsored by Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region. The event gives students a hands-on fishing and boating experience at the National Harbor.
After the national anthem and an opening prayer was broadcast from a nearby pier, 46 professionals and their co-anglers just south of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge filed out in their bass boats to various fishing spots along the Potomac.
