PHOTOS: Waters of the National Harbor become classroom for students

Three hundred children from Maryland, Virginia and D.C. participated in the Nation's River Bass Tournament, which is sponsored by Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region. The event gives students a hands-on fishing and boating experience at the National Harbor.

While the pros farmed out, 300 students from Living Classrooms, which works to restore the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers, prepared for their own Nation's River Bass Tournament. Rashaed Paine (in green), 19, who's never fished before, started with Living Classrooms last month and is taking job training courses with the D.C.-based non-profit in carpentry and woodshop.
