Team America Rocketry Challenge: Costumed finalists launch rockets for prizes
One hundred finalists from across the country competed in the Team America Rocketry Challege Saturday. There was a Star Wars team, of course.
In contrast to Team 2, Millington High School Team 1 used a "Smokey Sam" motor, creating the thick black smoke seen here. However, their rocket blew up shortly after launch, prompting an announcer to declare, "That's what we call a catastrophic failure."
