Team America Rocketry Challenge: Costumed finalists launch rockets for prizes
One hundred finalists from across the country competed in the Team America Rocketry Challege Saturday. There was a Star Wars team, of course.
Rockets weren't the only thing flying on Saturday. Bob Ekman (center), who runs a rocketry and robotics group of high school students in Montgomery County, flew a Parrot AR.Drone controlled by his iPhone. He said there are three rocket teams in Montgomery County, but only one made it to the TARC national finals, from Explorer Post 1010 in Rockville.
