Barefoot 5K takes Maryland
Running is hard enough. Running barefoot? Well, people took to the streets for a Barefoot 5K on Sunday. The race was done in partnership with the charity Soles4Souls and local charity Teens Run D.C.
"I really like hula hooping," said 18-year-old Jacqui Young of Germantown, Md., as she ran barefoot and hula hooped her way through Rock Creek Park during Sunday morning's Naked Foot 5K in Chevy Chase, Md. It was her first time running a race barefoot while hula hooping (she succeeded at both).
