Barefoot 5K takes Maryland
Running is hard enough. Running barefoot? Well, people took to the streets for a Barefoot 5K on Sunday. The race was done in partnership with the charity Soles4Souls and local charity Teens Run D.C.
Ian Litmans, 42, of Silver Spring, relaxed before the start of Sunday's 5k. He ran with five-finger shoes for two-and-a-half years before switching to a pair of Barefoot Ted's Luna Sandals in October of last year.
