Girl Scouts celebrate 100th anniversary
An estimated 200,000 Girl Scouts came to D.C. to celebrate their 100th anniversary. Some of them got to watch as the artist known as GAIA, made finishing touches on his likeness of Girl Scouts founder Juliette Gordon Low on Sunday at the National Portrait Gallery.
Elena Wollman (left), 10, and Kira Richardson (purple hat), 11, both members of New Jersey-based troop 40270, watched GAIA work charcoal into his portrait of Juliette Gordon Low.
