Mixing it up in D.C.: Specialty cocktails from local bartenders
Bartenders at local bars: Room 11, Bar Pilar and Marvin walked us through their specialty drinks and even provided their formulas for mixing up the drinks! Before you head out for your happy hour, take a look.
Pierangeli's "Lights Out" is made with 1.5 oz. Plymouth Gin, 3/4 oz. fresh lemon, 1/2 oz. simple syrup (1:1 ratio of water to sugar), and two dashes of Angostura bitters. Shake, double strain into a chilled collins glass, and add ice. Then top it off with Allagash White and garnish with an orange slice.
