landscaping and music, play...(Posted 223 days ago)Do's and Don'ts:don't give others excused for his being late or acting out , etc.. don't pick up acohol for him. don't drink with him. don't fuss about his drinking. the more you fuss the more he'll want to drink. he's sick and needs you love and your time. just as though he had cancer. he has an illness and it's death threatening too. been there and done that 21 years sober now (my hubby) he has lost his dignity and slumped to the peirls of alcoho to "fix" his hurting. good luck you will need it. Say This:don't be worried about your sex life , worried about his life. the drinking will kill him one way or another. don't be an enabler. he must get help for his problem which drinking is the symptom of his problem, like arm hurting is a symptom of a broken arm? |

I have been married for 25 years and I'm in the same boat no sex live, husband does work everyday but drinks a 12 pack everynight, very frustration and I feel very lonely. Can't make him stop drinking.

Ditto here. My hubby is 15 years older than I. He drinks every night about a 12pk of the german beer. We live mon-fri in different places. Sometimes even on weekends we miss each other too.
Needless to say ... I know what you are going through. It does get lonely. And to have someone just to hold me would be nice.
I would tell you to Fly away and live your life, you only have one! However, in doing that I also know all to well ... it's not that easy.
Your not alone ... I'm in the same boat... think about jumping overboard many times and let whatever happens happen....lol. One day just maybe I will .....
