What would you say in this situation?
My wife is way too clingy... I need more space.

Say This:

Just talk to her about how you feel. As adults were are suppose to express our feelings when they change over time. We are creatures that never speak up and take the easy way out and turn our feelings inward instead of letting them out. See what she says, however, be understanding and point out 'why and where the problem came from in the firsr place'. In other word break it to gently; that very important. That's what I would do, good luck.

Maybe you should be grateful that she is so clingly. My wife wasn't at a time in our lives and I was later to find out that she had aquired a new love. I was devastated at the time. It lasted over a year. I almost divorced her over this but, we finally worked through it. At that time I wish to God she had been to clingly and none of this would have taken place in the first place. Now we have been married for thirty-five years and we are both in love with each other.
