Abby Paige Fenton Director of Community Relations
Abby Paige Fenton is the Director of Community Relations at ABC7/WJLA-TV and TBD. Her responsibilities include coordinating community outreach activities, scheduling talent appearances and driving public relations initiatives for programs and station endeavors.
After graduating as a Theatre major and American Studies minor from Kenyon College, Fenton moved to Baltimore to work at Center Stage, where she helped raise over $14 million for their $12 million capital campaign. She then moved to Washington, D.C. to work for Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, one of America's leading producers of world premiere work. At Woolly Mammoth she completed the second capital campaign, raising almost $9 million for BREAKING NEW GROUND: The Campaign for Woolly Mammoth, originally a $7.5 million effort. During her 6 ½ years at Woolly Mammoth, Fenton was also key in the major growth of its special events, growing the revenue of the gala from $15,000 to $200,000. After Woolly Mammoth she worked at the D.C. Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Partner Engagement, coordinating major special events and cultivating relationships with the metropolitan corporate community.
In June of 2005, Fenton became the Executive Producer of Those Guys & That Girl Films, LLC. The company’s first feature film, Cruzando, was completed in April 2009. The film has received accolades both nationally and internationally including a Silver Palm Award from the Mexico International Film Festival; Best Feature from Reel Rasquache 2009 in Los Angeles and Best Actor at the San Antonio Film Festival. It was also the audience favorite at the HBO New York Latino Film Festival in 2009.
Fenton currently serves on the Board of the Cultural Development Corporation and is an active member of the American Heart Association’s young leaders’ group, PULSE and the Kenyon College Alumni Association.
