Ally Schweitzer Events Editor
I spent my final year at Hampshire College writing a scathing report on media coverage of gentrification in the Washington region. A few months later I moved to a gentrifying D.C. neighborhood and began working for The Washington Post.
Three years working with the arts critics introduced me to some of my now-colleagues, including Andrew Beaujon, who hired me as TBD's listings editor in June 2010. I'm thrilled to be here.
My previous incarnations include indie rock concert promoter, dog walker, vintage clothes seller, music blogger and smoothie slinger. In my spare time I like to run and (attempt to) fix bicycles. I love avocados, San Francisco and vodka martinis; hate artichokes, snow and IPA.
