Kathy Park Anchor / Reporter

Kathy Park

I joined the ABC7/WJLA-TV & NewsChannel 8 team in July 2008 as a community reporter. In addition to my reporting gig, I anchor the weekday morning newscasts on NewsChannel 8.

Before arriving to the District, I worked for WCYB in Bristol, Virginia, where I covered several major news events as a Southwest Virginia beat reporter.

I'm thrilled to be back in my hometown. I grew up in Silver Spring and graduated from the University of Maryland. As an undergrad I reported for Capital News Service and interned at Hardball on MSNBC, the DIY Network and NBC4.

Outside of work, I enjoy discovering new places to eat, traveling to sunny destinations and exploring the city with friends and family.
