Samuel Chamberlain Reporter

Samuel Chamberlain

I grew up in Manchester, NH dreaming of covering the Boston Red Sox, a feat which I achieved for two months in the summer of 2010, when I was the freelance Red Sox beat writer for the New Hampshire Union Leader. After realizing that the freelance route wasn’t a viable one, I touched down here at TBD. I’ll start off by covering the Redskins with Mike before moving on to covering my own general Washington sports beat.

I broke into sports media while I was still in high school, serving as a play-by-play man for the local public access channel’s high school game of the week. I went to college at NYU, where I served as sports editor of the NYU student paper, co-hosted a weekly sports talk show, “The Cheap Seats,” on NYU’s campus radio station, and served as a radio play-by-play voice for NYU men’s and women’s basketball.

My goal here at TBD is simple: to provide you, the Washington-area sports fan, with the fastest and most accurate reporting, the freshest and most innovative features, and the best and most in-depth analysis. I also promise to listen to you, the reader. This is your town. These are your teams. And I will do my very best to do them all justice.
