Sara Kenigsberg Segment Producer
I'm one of NewsChannel 8's segment producers. I work on different shows throughout the day and go out with a video camera, tripod and microphone to capture stories in our community.
I grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland, where I attended Winston Churchill High School and got my start in journalism writing for the Churchill Observer. It was also at Churchill that I received the senior superlative "Most Likely to Make a Teacher Retire." Why? I was known for asking A LOT of questions. To my knowledge, neither my high school teacher nor any of my professors at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University fled a school because of me.
I admit, I never hold back from asking a question, but that's because I'm wholeheartedly seeking knowledge and understanding about the world and people around me. I then hope to share that knowledge with you.

It's a normal day's work for the crew but it's quite impressive to watch.

In the mid 1990’s, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, reproduced that hand engraving for printing on the $100 bill.

Celebrate Thanksgiving with the turkeys
At Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary in Poolesville, Maryland, turkeys are the guests of honor during Thanksgiving, not the main dish. All six turkeys currently living on the non-profit's 400 acre plot of land celebrate the holiday just like most of us do; surrounded by a vast amount of food and loved ones. As TBD's Sara Kenigsberg discovers, these turkeys also have a lot to be thankful for.
